Friday Preview with 11 Total Conferences Tipped Off by Tonight

We are now getting to the point where we have so many conference tournament games going on that I can't go into detail on each game or even each conference.  I will focus on talking through any upsets, championship match-ups, conference tournament champions, and anything else that really impacts our pool and shakes up the standings.

For those lucky enough to be watching games right now, the Big 10 has (9)Wisconsin vs. (1) Michigan State playing each other and it's a close game.

Big South

• Today is important for the Big South as we'll know the championship match-up by tonight
• (2) Radford plays (3) Winthrop and (1) UNC-Asheville plays (5) Liberty; based on the Vegas odds, Winthrop and UNC-Asheville is the projected championship match-up
• In our pool we have a fairly even split between Radford, Winthrop, and UNC-Asheville which means lots of losses tonight when the standings are updated

Big 10

• All Big 10 teams are playing throughout the day today, as I write this Wisconsin is ahead of Michigan State, what an upset that could be!
• We're only in the "2nd Round" for the Big 10, so it's not worth over analyzing our pool picks yet, other than we have the potential for some upsets today and everyone is at risk

Missouri Valley

• All Missouri Valley teams are playing throughout the day today, with (9) Northern Iowa playing (1) Loyola Chicago at noon central time
• 71% of our pool picked Loyola Chicago, we have 1 guy on Northern Iowa, so certainly a game to keep an eye on, especially since Loyola is only favored to win by 6 points
• We're only in the Quarterfinals for the Missouri Valley conference, so it's not worth over analyzing the rest of our pool picks yet, other than we have the potential for some upsets today and everyone is at risk

Ohio Valley

• Today is important for the Ohio Valley as we'll know the championship match-up by tonight
• (1) Murray State plays (4) Jacksonville State and (3) Austin Peay plays (2) Belmont, Murray State and Belmont is the projected championship match-up

Worth mentioning but no impact to our pool, the Horizon League and Southern tips off today, the Northeast and Patriot is inactive today, picking back up tomorrow, and the MAAC moves to the Quarterfinals today.

The Atlantic Sun already has it's conference championship match-up set and ready to go for Sunday afternoon with (1) Florida Gulf Coast hosting (2) Lipscomb

Finally, the West Coast Conference tips off tonight, and while it's the 7-10 seeds playing tonight, which have no impact on our pool, we get to see our first glimpse of Las Vegas in March!  I guarantee you that if I can find the games on TV or streaming, I will be watching them only for the Vegas cutaway shots.
